By working collaboratively with partners and continually innovating, JVH strives to be a leader in providing essential healthcare for the underserved, ensuring everyone in our community has access to quality healthcare.The ultrasound technologist produces ultrasonic images for diagnostic and treatment purposes to be reviewed by physicians.Key responsibilities include:Prepares patients for ultrasound examination.Explains procedures to the patient prior to the commencement of the testing and provides patient education related to medical ultrasound.Maintains current knowledge/certification/licensure. Pursues professional growth and development.Conducts ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and records anatomical, pathological and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician.Assists physician during invasive procedures requiring ultrasound guidance.Maintains patient charts and records and records and processes sonographic data and other pertinent observations made during the procedure for presentation to interpreting physician.Code appropriate CPT and ICD10 and submit billing for services performed.Maintains proper operation of the ultrasonic equipment and recognizes malfunctions and takes appropriate corrective action.Maintains ultrasound rooms for optimum efficiency.Maintains archives/records scans.Reports preliminary findings and diagnosis to Radiologist/Perinatologist.Is aware of the confidential nature of the clinic and works within legal responsibilities and relevant guidelines for good practice.Uses automated computer system to access patient/client information.Benefits overview includes:Medical and Prescription Drug Coverage: Three comprehensive plan options through UnitedHealthcare's Choice Plus network, covering various deductibles and out-of-pocket limits.
