Healthcare Intake/Referral Associate

About the Role The company is a leading telehealth provider of behavioral health care services based in Middletown, CT. We provide world‑class clinicians to patients virtually, in long‑term care facilities who wouldn’t otherwise have physical access to specialized care. We are looking for energetic, hard‑working individuals to help the company execute on our growth plan. Hybrid Work Arrangement: This position is hybrid with 5 days a week required in‑office for 4–6 weeks, then transition to 3 days a week required in‑office. Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service to all facilities, patients, and families. Register patients and handle all intake calls and emails for over 400 facilities across the US. Process new patient intakes by securing required information and authorizations necessary for treatment. Verify patient eligibility for insurance reimbursement. Submit patient information into the Company’s Electronic Health Record System. Maintain a professional image in appearance, words, and actions. Use payer portals to obtain claim status and authorizations efficiently. Qualifications 3 years or more of experience in the healthcare industry. Demonstrated understanding of the medical insurance eligibility verification process. Knowledge of the medical billing process. Experience with medical billing or practice management software. Intermediate to expert level skills in MS Office and MS Outlook. Minimum high school diploma or GED.
