Hospitalist

St. Josephs Health is seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physicians for a Day-shift, Full-time Hospitalist position at St. Josephs Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Position Details Schedule: 7-days on/ 7-days off; 12-hour shifts, 7am-7pm Provides professional medical services to an average daily census of 16-18 patients per Provider, closed ICU Makes daily rounds on all patients assigned to the Hospitalist Program Arranges for necessary follow-up care upon discharge from the Hospital Conducts a history and physical examination, and note dictated in our EPIC EMR system Work in conjunction with other consultants and Intensivist to effectively manage a medical crisis or change in assigned patients medical condition consulting with applicable parties in a timely fashion Works with an established medical center with comprehensive subspecialty support Opportunity Highlights Join a respected, collegial Hospitalist team Supportive environment with comprehensive specialty backup Physician-led governance structure Strong system resources and commitment to quality Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Eligible for NYS medical license and DEA Prior Hospitalist experience preferred but not required Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and dedication to team-based care Please note: This opportunity cannot sponsor H1B or J1 visa applications. Recruitment Package Base Salary: $239,200 to $265,000 per year (dependent on experience) plus additional productivity and quality bonuses The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position.
