Asst/Assoc Athletic Trainer

Colby Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer. This position coordinates the prevention, management, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries sustained by student-athletes across 11 varsity sports. Colby Community College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and competes in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. The salary range for this position is between $46,000 and $51,500. The College offers up to $2,000 in relocation reimbursement to join our wonderful community. Sponsorship may be available for individuals currently on OPT. Salary and Benefits $46,000 – $51,500 annually, based on experience and education. Participation in the Kansas state retirement system is required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in athletic training or a related field required. NATA Certification required. Licensed in the State of Kansas or the ability to become licensed within the first six months. Master’s degree in athletic training or a related field preferred. Experience in athletic training at the collegiate level preferred. Responsibilities Assist with injury and illness prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, treatment, disposition, rehabilitation, and return to full competition of ColbyCC student athletes. Provide athletic training coverage of home events. Assist with student‑athletes in preparing for therapy and recovery. Assist with dressing and undressing/removing braces and/or supportive equipment. Communicate with the athletic coaching staff regarding the athlete's injury status.
