About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Critical Care ICU Registered Nurse – North Carolina**Start Date:** August 17, 2026 **Location:** Asheville, North Carolina **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, alternating weekends**Highlights:** - 16-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit with 2:1 or 1:1 patient ratios (occasionally 3:1 based on acuity)- Advanced critical care equipment including ventilators, telemetry, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia protocols- Cerner documentation system for streamlined charting- Direct patient care environment with RN-only staffing model- Exposure to advanced procedures including cardioversion, central line insertion, bronchoscopy, and pericardiocentesis- Opportunity to work with cutting-edge cardiac critical care technology**Requirements:** - Active North Carolina RN license or ability to obtain- ICU experience required- Demonstrated competency in titration of vasoactive medications, pressors, sedation, and paralytics- Experience with ventilator management, tracheostomy care, and telemetry interpretation- Strong understanding of hemodynamics, PA catheter setup and interpretation- CCRN certification preferred but not required- Advanced certifications in IABP, Impella, and CRRT are highly desirable**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This position offers the chance to work in a specialized cardiac intensive care environment where you'll utilize advanced critical care skills daily.
