We are excited to welcome a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Memory Care Unit team! This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents living with Alzheimer’s and other memory-related conditions by providing specialized, person-centered care in a supportive and nurturing environment.

As a Memory Care CNA, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, structured, and comforting atmosphere where residents can thrive. You will provide hands-on support with daily activities while building meaningful relationships, offering reassurance, and using gentle redirection techniques to support residents’ emotional and physical well-being. Your presence and care will help promote dignity, independence, and quality of life for those we serve.

Responsibilities:

Provide hands-on care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

Support residents with memory-related conditions using patience, redirection, and reassurance techniques

Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure resident safety

Monitor and report changes in condition, behavior, or mood to the nurse

Obtain and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate) as directed

Assist with meal service and feeding, while encouraging independence when possible

Maintain a safe, calm, and structured environment for residents

Provide emotional support and companionship, building meaningful relationships with residents

Assist with incontinence care and maintain proper hygiene

Ensure accurate charting and documentation of care provided

Maintain confidentiality of resident information at all times

Communicate effectively with nurses, team members, residents, and families

Follow the direction from licensed nursing staff and ask questions when clarification is needed

Support a positive team environment and serve as a role model for peers

Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and visitors

Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and infection control guidelines

Qualifications: Current CNA license in the state.

At least one year of LPN experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.

Knowledge of MatrixCare preferred.
