Certified Medical Coder

To ensure compliance and accuracy in medical claims processing, the full-time remote Certified Medical Coder will perform automated and complex reviews of Medicare Fee-for-Service claims, assess payment accuracy, and document findings while collaborating with key personnel for continuous process improvement. Key responsibilities Conduct automated and complex reviews of Medicare claims to assess overpayments and underpayments Participate in dispute resolution by re-examining claims and providing necessary documentation Support quality assurance through audits and maintain compliance with CMS security and privacy standards Required qualifications 5+ years of direct medical coding or medical billing experience in a healthcare environment 3+ years working in a productivity-based claims or case management environment 3+ years of remote work experience with technology systems, preferably in Medicare Fee For Service Experience with low-code, no-code case management systems as an end-user is preferred Certification from an accredited association such as AAPC or AHIMA is required
