Hidden Valley Family Medicine is looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Medical Receptionist to join our growing team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in providing excellent service and ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is compassionate, professional, and confident in navigating multiple software systems to create a seamless experience for our patients and team.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients with professionalism and a welcoming demeanor
• Answer incoming phone calls and redirect to the appropriate department
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information
• Collect copays, deductibles, outstanding balances, and process payments
• Maintain accurate patient records within the EMR system
• Manage incoming faxes, documents, and patient correspondence
• Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
• Assist with additional front office duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience is required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
• Professional demeanor and positive attitude
• Basic computer and phone skills required
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
• Insurance verification and prior authorization experience are a plus
