Psychiatrist PositionThe Chillicothe VA Medical Center is offering a psychiatrist position delivering comprehensive psychiatric care within the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) treatment program and the Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (RRTP). The psychiatrist will collaborate with an interdisciplinary Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) team to provide evidence-based assessment and treatment of a broad range of substance use disorders. The position includes the option for virtual work from a Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC), subject to approval and space availability, though in-person services at the Chillicothe VA are preferred.Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases. 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME). Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA. Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement). 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory. Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification). Free liability protection with tail coverage provided. No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting. This position may be eligible for the Physician / Provider Contract Buy Out Program (CBOP), which authorizes VHA to buy out service contracts (Locum agreements, loan repayments, sign-on bonus contracts, Physician-owned practices) in exchange for employment at certain rural or highly rural facilities for a period of obligated service (minimum 4 years).Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Telework: May be authorized in accordance with agency policy. Virtual: This position may be authorized for Virtual Work. Virtual Work eligibility is for current VA employees that are already subject to return to in person work mandate in their current position. Employee works outside of original hiring duty station at a VA owned or leased space. Return to Office (RTO): RTO mandates are in effect, and selectees will be required to report to in person work unless they have an approved exception or an exemption. Any approval for an RTO exception, exemption, or extension will happen after the tentative job offer, but before a final job offer.
