Dry Plant Operator – Job Duties
- Operate 10,000 BTU dryer system using HMI panel to dry garnet.
- Start up, operate, and shut down Feeco Rotary Dryer and related equipment.
- Perform screen changes, magnet checks, and collect product samples.
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance; record findings.
- Operate forklifts; perform pre-shift inspection and proper parking at end of shift.
- Assist with maintenance and adjustments on plant equipment.
- Maintain and organize company tools used in plant operations.
- Complete labor cards, job tickets, reports, and required paperwork.
- Follow all safety procedures, including use of PPE and lockout/tagout.
- Monitor equipment for quality and productivity issues; report problems immediately.
- Maintain clean work area and complete daily housekeeping tasks.
- Shovel spilled garnet and perform cleanup as required.
- Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA) or Take 5 before new or unfamiliar tasks.
- Assist in process improvements for Dry Plant operations.
- Interact with coworkers in a cooperative and professional manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
