As part of this commitment, we offer:PPO medical, dental, and vision insurance for our employees AND their dependents, 100% paid by the CompanyA cell phone stipendAnnual discretionary bonus401(k) match program, pet insurance, life insurance, and moreLOCATION: The position is based on-site at DrinkPAK's facility in Santa Clarita, California.TYPE: Full Time; Salaried / ExemptRESPONSIBILITIESProcess bi-weekly payroll for approximately 450 employees in Southern CaliforniaReview timecards daily for missing punches, missing supervisor notes, tardies, missed shifts, etc. to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing every two weeksEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and reportingPrepare and analyze payroll reports, presenting findings to Payroll ManagerInvestigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries professionally and efficientlyMaintain payroll records and prepare reports on payroll activities for management reviewInitiate Off-Cycle payments, as neededCollaborate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and financial reportingMonitor changes and remain current on legal, regulatory, or governmental requirements (wage & hour, garnishments, 401(k), etc.)Ensure employees and supervisors approve timecards by the deadline each pay period to ensure timely payroll processingEnsure accurate data entry in payroll systemProcess and monitor garnishment ordersPerform ad hoc assignments and special projects as assignedPlease note this job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without prior notice.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferredAtleast 1-2 years of experience in California payroll processing or accounting rolesAtleast 6 months to 1 year of experience in Workday Payroll, Time Tracking & Absence requiredFundamental Payroll Professional (FPP) designation is preferred, but not requiredBilingual (English & Spanish) is preferredMust be comfortable working in an open workspace / bullpenExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsWell-organized, detail-oriented, and strong ability to multi-taskKnowledge of IRS and various state regulations regarding payroll and accounting reconciliations/auditing techniques preferredAbility to meet deadlines & maintains a “right the first-time” mentalityAdvanced experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel software applicationsContinuous improvement mindsetOUR VALUESOur company’s culture is guided by our shared values of Speed, Intensity, and Purpose.
