Summer Intern - Compliance (ID: NAT0000008K) We are recruiting for Summer Interns to join the Compliance Department. Opportunity This internship position is for an individual beginning or finishing year one or year two of a JD program. Intern associates will gain and use experience in both the technical and operational sides of compliance-related issues. Generally, the intern associate will work on compliance matters for the Health Compliance or Retirement Compliance Practice Leaders. In other cases, they may work on a project basis on a particular client‑related compliance matter. Projects Researching and drafting memos on technical issues for the Compliance Practice Leaders; researching new regulations, legislation or other policy developments. Preparing client‑specific memos and documents. Other tasks as requested by the Compliance Practice Leader or National Compliance Staff. Attending both internal and external meetings. Candidates Enrollment in a JD program. Beginner knowledge of ERISA and related legislation and regulations. Excellent communication skills (verbal/written). Excellent interpersonal/relationship‑building skills and ability to collaborate with and positively influence others. Ability to quickly and effectively perform research involving federal and state legal issues.
