• EMR: Cerner - Cerner EMR experience preferred

Job Requirements

• Board Certified in Neurology (BE not accepted) - Board Certified Neurologist required
• Active Michigan medical license (MD/DO)
• Active DEA license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) / tPA competency preferred
• Immunization records required (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Flu, Covid, TB, TDAP)
• Self-Query NPDB (within the month)
• Minimum 1 year of neurology clinical experience (inpatient and/or outpatient)
• Provider must be local - no flights (local candidate required)

Responsibilities

• Provide neurology coverage in both outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital settings (hospitalist neurology duties)
• Perform and interpret EEG reads for inpatient and outpatient cases as needed
• Interpret radiologic exams relevant to neurology (CT, MRI)
• Perform lumbar punctures (spinal taps), brain death examinations, and evoked potentials
• Participate in after-hours call coverage and 24-hour weekend call as an on-call neurologist
• Manage an average of 6-8 neurology patients per day (patient volume varies)
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation in Cerner EMR
