Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview
Registered Nurse - ER (Emergency Department), travel assignment in Watertown, NY. This night-shift RN position starts on 08/24/2026 for 13 weeks, with a weekly pay range of $2,243 to $2,316. Hours are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The assignment takes place in a hospital ED setting and includes a 36-hour per week guaranteed schedule.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
- Triage patients, perform initial assessments, monitor vitals, respond to deteriorating conditions, and administer medications within scope.
- Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy as part of routine ED care; communicate findings and changes to the care team.
- Document patient information accurately in the MEDITECH electronic health record; ensure timely charting and compliance with policies.
- Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other disciplines; participate in rapid assessments and life-saving interventions as needed.
- May assume duties as a charge nurse when assigned; prioritize, delegate, and supervise staff while maintaining patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain patient safety through safe lifting and mobility practices, infection control, and adherence to clinical protocols in high-stress situations.

Requirements
- Current New York State RN license
- BLS, ACLS and PALS required
- MEDITECH experience required
- Travel experience required
- Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Certifications/skills: IV therapy, medication administration, and phlebotomy certification during orientation
- Experience: Critical Care and charge nurse experience preferred
- Able to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations; maintain composure and demonstrate leadership and effective communication
- May be required to perform duties as a charge nurse; capable of working Nights in a high-acuity ED setting
