Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse at Genesys Health System, you will use your independent professional judgment and analytical skills to provide a full range of nursing services to patients. You¿ll work within the framework of the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care and Benner's Domains of Nursing Practice to ensure clinical competence, compassion, and patient-centered care. Your role is vital in coordinating multidisciplinary care plans, educating patients, and ensuring positive outcomes.

What You Will Do

• Coordinate and develop multidisciplinary care plans to ensure appropriate length of stay and resource utilization.
• Assess patient needs, provide education, and alleviate fears through effective communication and compassionate care.
• Administer medications, manage therapeutic regimens, and monitor patient responses to interventions.
• Collaborate with case managers and other healthcare professionals to prepare patients for discharge and continued care.
• Document patient care activities and progress according to established guidelines.
• Respond to changing patient situations, including emergencies, with appropriate interventions and notifications.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 months of hire date.
• Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 months of hire date.
• Graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.
