Read below for more requirements.As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and providing excellent patient care in an acute care setting.As a Pharmacy Technician, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:Receive and process prescription ordersMeasure, mix, count, label, and record dosages of medicationsPrepare IV medications under sterile conditions (if applicable)Verify prescription information with prescribers and insurance companies when neededAssist in maintaining accurate medication inventory and ordering suppliesPackage and label prescriptions accuratelyDeliver medications to appropriate departments or patient care areasAssist patients at the pharmacy counter with prescription pick-up and questionsMaintain clean and organized work areasFollow all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures regarding pharmacy operationsThe ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician. Additionally, they should possess a current BLS certification and hold the CPhT National Certification. Must be good standing with the State's board of pharmacy.Pharmacy Technicians should be able to stand or walk for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and possess strong attention to detail and communication skills.Requirements*: PTCB (CPhT), BLS, 1 Year * Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
