Join our team and make an impact today!The Sales Engineering Manager is responsible for providing leadership for all activities of the Sales Engineering and Prototype team, differentiating KMC through outstanding technical sales support for customers.Duties And Responsibilities:This role requires up to 25% travel to customer sites to provide Sales Engineering servicesSupport Sales Engineering Events at customer sites and at KMC facilitiesEnsure ongoing development and application of eight core Sales Engineering services: Customer Education, Line Walks, Vale Analysis and Value Engineering (VA/VE), "Ballpark" Estimates, Part Design Collaboration, Part Analysis & Simulation, Prototyping, and 3D PrintingDevelop and execute plans with Business Development to meet customer collaboration goalsDevelop physical and digital Sales Engineering tool kits to support core Sales Engineering servicesCreate training plans to develop staff as subject matter experts on KMC processes and technologyDrive professional development of all Sales Engineering and Prototype staffProactively seek out feedback to ensure alignment of work product with Operations groupEnsure transfer of collaboration and prototype details to the Production team at new part launchDevelop specific strategies to grow prototype sales and increase prototype-to-production conversionResponsible for use of Sales Engineering and Prototype dashboards to drive performance improvementAccountable to management team for performance of the Sales Engineering and Prototype team key metricsProvide organized feedback to KMC leadership on market, customer, and competitor observationsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering or business, Tool & Die certification or equivalent experienceMinimum 10 years experience in stamping and fabricationStrong organization and leadership skillsComputer proficiency and strong MS Office software skills, AI integration preferredAbility to analyze blueprints, GD&T proficiency requiredWorking knowledge of 3D CAD software, SolidWorks preferredWorking knowledge of relevant material types and associated propertiesKnowledge of post manufacturing operations (plating, painting, heat treat, etc.)Knowledge of product cost structurePrior experience with cost estimating and quoting softwareBenefits:Culture Forward Work EnvironmentPPO Health plan and CDHP Health plan options including NO PLAN PREMIUMS on the CDHP Plan!Dental & Vision InsuranceGenerous 401(K) plan with company matchEducational AssistancePaid Time Off: Vacation Time, Personal time and 10 paid holidaysCompany paid Life Insurance & AD&D CoverageCompany paid Disability InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramQuarterly Employee Lunches, Annual EventsEmployee Recognition ProgramsCome grow with us.
