About the Role:

Cantelon Childcare in Ann Arbor, MI is looking for a passionate and nurturing Preschool Teacher to join our team! Responsibilities:

Plan and implement age-appropriate, engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood development goals

Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment for preschool-aged children

Monitor and support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development

Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress and classroom activities

Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, and outdoor play

Maintain accurate developmental records and assessments for each child

Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to ensure a consistent, nurturing program

Requirements:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred

Previous experience working with preschool or early childhood-aged children

Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills

Ability to pass a background check in accordance with Michigan childcare regulations

Warm, energetic, and child-centered approach to teaching
