Registered Nurse

Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years of ER experience required. License: Valid RN license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI required. Must-Have: Experience in a Level I Trauma Center, stroke-certified, and STEMI-certified facility preferred. Comfortable with triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, emergency medications, procedural sedation, ventilated patients, trauma, psych holds, and pediatric emergency care.

Description: The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room provides care to patients in a fast-paced setting. Candidates must have extensive experience in emergency nursing with a focus on critical situations. Knowledge of various patient populations, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics is required. Staffing ratios are 1:3.5 during shifts. The position requires flexibility to float and work every other or every third weekend. The facility uses EPIC documentation for record keeping. Additional skills such as arterial line management, blood product administration, and procedural sedation monitoring are essential. The role includes managing patients with dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction. Candidates must be able to obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG and perform phlebotomy. Two professional references are required for the application process. All candidates must comply with the fingerprinting requirements as part of the credentialing process.
