Senior Project Accountant, Construction
Salinas, CA

A growing construction company is looking for a detail-oriented accountant to own day-to-day financial operations across multiple active projects. You'll work closely with project managers to keep job costs accurate, financials current, and reporting sharp, using Procore and Sage Intacct as your core systems.

What you'll do

You'll manage full-cycle accounting for construction projects, from job costing in Procore through general ledger, AR, and reconciliations in Sage Intacct. That means tracking labor, materials, and subcontractor costs against budget, flagging variances before they become problems, and producing weekly financial reports that give real visibility into margins and project performance. You'll support month-end close, help build budgets and profitability projections, and be a go-to resource during audits. Along the way, you'll look for ways to make the finance workflow tighter and more efficient.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 3 years of accounting experience, ideally in construction
• Hands-on experience with job costing and project tracking
• Strong working knowledge of Sage Intacct, including GL, AP/AR, and reporting
• Advanced Excel skills
• Solid grasp of construction accounting fundamentals: job costing, progress billing, revenue recognition
• Sharp attention to detail and the communication skills to work across project teams

Compensation and benefits

$100,000–$110,000 per year, plus health, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, an annual bonus, and PTO.
