Senior Accountant

Title: Senior Accountant Company: Technology Industry Compensation: $45-52/hr (DOE) Job Description: - Prepare and record journal entries related to payroll, bonuses, commissions, paid time off (PTO), and employee benefits. - Reconcile payroll-related balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies or unusual variances. - Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities by ensuring payroll data is recorded accurately and timely. - Maintain compliance with GAAP and established accounting policies and procedures. - Assist internal and external audit processes by preparing supporting schedules, reports, and documentation. - Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities. - Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve payroll-related accounting issues and ensure data integrity. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. - Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience. - Solid understanding of payroll accounting, accruals, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. - Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software. - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
