Ignite positive change in students’ lives by providing impactful speech-language therapy services in a vibrant school environment near Tacoma, WA. This part-time, contract opportunity is designed for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist passionate about early childhood and elementary education. You’ll be supporting PreK and K-4 students, covering a leave of absence, and collaborating with a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Applicants with CCC-SLP credentials and prior school-based experience are especially encouraged to apply. If you thrive on fostering communication skills in children and enjoy working in an inclusive, engaging setting, this is the perfect role to advance your practice.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license (SLP-CCC preferred)
- Experience with assessment and intervention for PreK and elementary (K-4) populations
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to different learning needs and styles
- Organizational and time-management skills suitable for a part-time, contract role
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to PreK and K-4 students
- Conduct assessments and maintain appropriate documentation
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Adjust therapy approaches to best suit each child’s unique needs
- Participate in meetings and provide input on student progress
- Ensure compliance with school, district, and federal policies
