Contract | Nights | 36–48 hours per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and provide nursing care to patients in a critical care setting
• Supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel within their scope of practice
• Apply critical care nursing knowledge and skills to patients with multi-system failure, including those requiring mechanical ventilation and hemodynamic monitoring
• Provide specialized care for neuro/trauma and respiratory failure patients
• Accurately document patient care and assessments using Epic and other EMR systems

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice
• Associate Degree (A.A. or A.S.) in Nursing or related field
• Passing completion of a Critical Care Nursing course
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS) from an approved vendor
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required within 1 year of hire or transfer into department
• Current Epic experience required; candidates must have Epic and Cerner experience within the last 5 years

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Minimum six months of previous critical care experience
• Prior experience working within a unionized (CNA-represented) nursing environment
