Required Skills & Experience• 4+ years of structural engineering experience. • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license from any U.S. state. • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis) or Structural Engineering. • Experience with structural analysis and design methodologies. • Knowledge of applicable engineering codes and standards, including AASHTO, ASCE, and AISC. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience• Desire to grow into a technical leadership or management role in the future. • Experience in bridge design, load rating, inspections, rehabilitation, or transportation structures. Familiarity with 3D structural analysis and finite element modeling software such as RISA, STAAD, SAP2000, Tekla Structural Designer, or similar tools.
Compensation:
$115,000 - $140,000
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Insight Global is hiring for a Structural Engineer to support a variety of structural and bridge-related projects throughout the region. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering, solving complex structural challenges, and collaborating directly with contractors, project managers, and internal engineering teams to deliver safe, code-compliant designs. This is also a great opportunity for someone interested in growing into a leadership role over time.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare structural engineering design plans, drawings, and calculations for both temporary and permanent structures. • Perform structural analysis and design primarily utilizing steel structures and bridge engineering principles. • Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and drafting teams to clarify requirements and deliver accurate, constructible solutions. • Evaluate site conditions, load paths, and structural demands while ensuring compliance with governing codes and standards, including AASHTO, ASCE, and AISC. • Support projects from concept through construction, participating in reviews, design revisions, and occasional site visits. • Assist with bridge design, rehabilitation, inspections, load rating evaluations, and other transportation-related structural projects as needed.
