Job Description & Requirements TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel We are looking for an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) for an immediate travel opening. The right IR Tech should have 1 year of recent acute care experience. As an IR Tech, you will be responsible for operating the fluoroscopic equipment and assisting the physicians with minimally invasive, image‑guided procedures. You will also prepare and observe the patients undergoing the procedure and report any abnormal activity. Key Responsibilities Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required. Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures. Monitor patient during all procedures. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices and techniques for patient and operator exposure to ensure adequate safeguards. Demonstrate knowledge of physiology and anatomy necessary to interpret examination requests accurately. Operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps. Maintain accurate patient records. Understand and use the McKesson PACS system. Requirements Minimum 1 year of acute care experience. BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification and state‑specific licensing required. Vascular Interventional certificate preferred. Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
