Quality Assurance Manager (Food Manufacturing) Duluth, GA 105-120k +Bonus opportunity
We are hiring a candidate who has quality management experience in a food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all customer, federal, and state regulatory requirements while driving a strong safety and continuous improvement culture at the plant level. Strong manager with a responsive, collaborative communication style along with strategic problem-solving abilities is needed.

The position oversees quality and sanitation teams, manages audits and regulatory interactions, and ensures effective execution of GMPs, Safety Plans, and quality systems. Its a highly visible leadership role that partners cross-functionally with operations, R&D, and regulatory agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides direct support, leadership and direction to quality technicians and sanitation staff in a 24-hour facility.
• Maintains and improves product quality by completing product and compliance audits, investigating consumer complaints, collaborating with other members of management to resolve issues.
• Maintains facility safety and compliance by performing routine internal audits to ensure strict adherence to SQF, GMPs, Sanitation, and Food Safety Plans.
• Ensures that all preventative measures as outlined in Food Safety plan are executed, monitored, and reviewed to include CAPA actions.
• Ensure that all appropriate metrics and KPIs are measured, tracked, and trended. Maintain fiscal responsibility for department budget.
• Maintains all aspects of the Quality Assurance Laboratory, including microbiological, chemical, physical, and sensory aspects of all food products manufactured at this facility.
• Acts as plant liaison in dealings with regulatory agencies and customer company representatives and auditors.
• Work cooperatively and cross functionally to drive continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

Target Qualifications:

• 5+ years in manufacturing QA and 3 years of supervisory experience
• Bachelor of Science degree highly preferred.
• HACCP and PCQI Certification.
• Strong leadership, team building, motivation and collaboration skills required.
• Able to prioritize, be decisive, strong communication and basic computer skills are required. Data analysis is a plus.
• Statistical analysis and problem-solving skills (5Why's, Fishbone Diagrams, etc.) strongly desired.
• Ability to be reasonably flexible and available to work alternate shifts, early/late hours, weekends, or split shifts as operational needs require.
