COOK - Congress AZ (near Wickenburg)

Salary: $18.00 hr - $ 26.00 hr

Job Summary

• Prepares, seasons and bake PIZZA, APPETIZERS and CHICKEN WINGS. Also prepares House salads and Chef Salads

General Accountabilities

• Inspects and clean food preparation areas or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
• Ensures food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens
• Ensures freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
• Seasons and cooks food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
• Observes and tests foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
• Washes, peels, cuts vegetables to prepare them for consumption.
• Consults with supervisory staff to plan menus, taking into consideration factors such as costs and special event needs.
• Pay attention to quality, correct measuring and presentation of dishes
• Help receiving and organizing weekly food delivery
• Be a team player and help where needed
• Rotate ovens and follow the schedule for deep cleaning

Job Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: One year of related experience
• Must have AZ Food handler or Manager credentials
• Must live within reasonable commuting location
• Must have verifiable references
