Role Overview Travel Orthodontic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) – Monarch Dental, supported by Smile Brands – will support multiple practices throughout San Antonio and surrounding communities. This role requires travel between nearby offices and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced orthodontic assistant who enjoys variety, teamwork, and delivering high‑quality patient care across different settings. Key Responsibilities Assist orthodontists with procedures including bonding, adjustments, wire changes, and debonding. Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories. Take digital X‑rays, impressions, and intra‑oral scans. Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care. Maintain accurate and compliant patient records. Support efficient patient flow and a positive office environment. Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures. Help educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies. Improve oral health, solve dental challenges, and better smiles every day. Travel between assigned offices within the market according to the schedule. Qualifications Active Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license. Orthodontic assisting experience required (braces, bands, wires, aligners). Strong communication and patient care skills. Ability to travel between nearby offices as needed. Reliable, organized, and team‑oriented. Meet all state‑specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the duties assigned in the state of employment. Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain before start date). Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and OSHA/HIPAA standards. Strong commitment to excellent patient care. Minimum 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations. Schedule & Travel Travel required between assigned offices in the San Antonio area. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
