Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - Long-Term Care (LTC)Location: Bellaire, MIDuration: Full-Time / PermanentShift: Days (36 Hour Guarantee)Job Overview: As a Certified Nurse Aide, you will be an integral part of our long-term care team, providing essential support and care to our residents in line with established nursing service policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Providing direct resident care, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and maintaining resident hygiene.Administering tub baths, showers, or bed baths to assigned residents.Turning and repositioning residents as per individual care plans, and maintaining their range of motion.Obtaining and recording vital signs under the direction of licensed nurses.Assisting in transporting residents to dining areas and aiding in feeding when required.Using proper body mechanics for transferring and transporting residents, ensuring the use of necessary transfer aids.Maintaining cleanliness in resident rooms, changing bed linens as necessary, and conducting regular resident rounds.Responding to call lights and porch egress alarms on the assigned nursing unit.Participating in the care planning process and executing nurse-assisted duties as documented in resident care plans.Reporting changes in resident conditions, incidents, or problems to the Charge Nurse.Documenting incidents and care provided according to facility procedures and electronic charting requirements.Observing and following infection control and safety policies and procedures.Attending and completing scheduled in-service, Relias training courses, and ward conferences as required.Additional Details:The facility houses 173 residents divided into 7 households, each accommodating a maximum of 21 residents.Day shift staffing to resident ratios are 3:21 (CNA) and 1:21 (LPN/RN).Night shift staffing to resident ratios are 2:21 (CNA) and 1:21 or 2:42 (LPN/RN).Benefits Included:Health, Optical, and Dental coverageShort-term disability, optional AFLAC, union membership, and other employee incentivesEligibility for benefits after completing a 90-calendar day probationary periodSubmission Requirements: Applicants must meet the following criteria:High School Diploma or equivalentCertified Nurse Aide CertificationCOVID vaccination not mandatory, exemptions acceptedExperience in a long-term care setting and computer proficiency are advantageous but not mandatoryCertification Requirements:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
