Language Assessment Specialist

Description of Service Opportunity: The language assessment Specialist will administer the language proficiency test upon enrollment at the Family Resource Center. The candidate will be successfully.
- Administer Language proficiency test to potential English Learners, Spanish Dual Language.
- Help determine English learner status and comply with federal and state regulations and classification mandates.
- Assist families in making and informed choice about English learner programs (if eligible).
- Provide families guidance in the school enrollment process for English Learner and Dual language Learner Programs.
- Maintain accurate testing and student record information.
- Maintain student/family confidentiality.
- Be a source of information to ELL families in the district.
- Maintain accurate student testing data and ELL enrollment records/information.
- Perform other duties determined by the Coordinator of English Language Learner Programs.
