Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.Operations Quality has an opening for a Factory Quality Engineer who will interface with the factory teams supporting production, first article inspections, creating/maintaining work/inspection instructions, and preparation for audits. The position is based in Camden, AR and requires onsite presence. The quality engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following in the next section.What You Will Do Verify product and process compliance with respect to contractual, technical, industry, AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and internal policiesRegularly generate and publish Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) metricsFacilitate and lead cross-functional team in failure analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, including identifying non-conformances, providing solutions, tracking issues to closureEnsure identification, physical control, and disposition of non-conforming material and facilitate Material Review Board (MRB) when necessarySupport work instruction development and maintenance activities by reviewing work instructions, test instructions, auditing processes, and assuring configuration managementDevelopment and maintenance of inspection instructions, ensuring inspection instructions meet the technical data package requirements and meet production needsRegularly interface with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Navy Technical RepresentativesDaily status meetings with the factory support, factory management, hourly employees, and internal stakeholders to manage issueConduct weekly meetings to help reduce cost of poor quality and facilitate timely red rack (Out of Flow) dispositionsQualifications You Must HaveBachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)Minimum of two (2) years of experience in related Quality, Operations, Engineering or related disciplineExperience in supporting design and/or manufacturing process and engineering principlesManufacturing process experience in one of the following: (assembly, inspection, test)Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date (U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance)The ability to obtain and maintain an ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) clearanceQualifications We PreferExisting DoD Secret ClearanceExperience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management SystemExperience with AS9102 First Article Inspection RequirementsStrong interpersonal skills with experience in negotiating, having difficult conversations, and ability to work well with factory management, hourly employees, and internal stakeholdersExperience in leading cross-functional teams in auditing process and product/process improvements in the factory or at suppliersExperience with AS9145 - Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)Six Sigma or ASQ CertificationData analysis; development and usage of actionable metricsLearn More & Apply NowPlease ensure the role type defined below is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
