Forklift Operator Warehouseman

Warehouse Forklift OperatorWork Schedule Hours: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pmPosition Overview: Responsible for operating forklift machines and performing an array of general warehouse duties associated with the receiving and processing of incoming stock. Associates will be expected to hand palletize apparel items, manually shrink-wrap clusters of products, and pack and ship orders as needed.Important Job Functions:Operate the forklift machine in a safe manner as directed by supervisorExceptional driving skillsMake inspections on the equipmentWork well with others as will work in teams of other operatorsFollow the specific company safety instructions and standardsKeep track of the goods they move aroundEnsure the maintenance of the vehicle you are assignedReport any technical snags and call in the repairmen to ensure machines are operationally safe at all timesComplete required safety checks and follow all set industry standardsOther duties as assignedOther Skills/Abilities:A high school diploma or degree or equivalentCourses in forklift operations are a plusClear industry trainingBasic physical fitness
