Licensed Psychiatric TechnicianLocation: Soledad, CAPay: $2,350/weekContract Length: 26 weeks, with extensions availableSchedule: Full-time contractCare Career is seeking an experienced Licensed Psychiatric Technician for a 26-week contract opportunity in a correctional healthcare setting in Soledad, CA. Extensions may be available based on facility need and provider performance.This role provides mental health and basic nursing support to adult patients in a secure facility setting. The LPT will work as part of the onsite healthcare team to support patient care, medication administration, documentation, and monitoring of patients with behavioral health needs.Responsibilities:* Provide direct patient care and behavioral health support in a correctional healthcare setting* Administer medications and treatments within scope of practice* Monitor patients for changes in behavior, mood, safety, or medical/mental health status* Assist with crisis response, suicide risk monitoring, and patient observation as directed* Complete accurate and timely documentation* Communicate patient concerns to nursing, mental health, and medical staff* Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and professional boundaries* Work collaboratively with custody and healthcare teamsRequirements:* Active California Licensed Psychiatric Technician license* Minimum 12 months of recent LPT experience preferred* Current BLS certification preferred or required by facility* Ability to work in a correctional/secure healthcare environment* Must be able to complete required onboarding, background clearance, and facility compliance requirements* Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skillsPreferred Experience:* Correctional healthcare* Behavioral health or psychiatric care* Crisis intervention* Substance use or co-occurring disorders* High-acuity or secure treatment settingsCompensation:This position pays $2,350 per week.Care Career partners with healthcare facilities to connect qualified clinicians and healthcare professionals with meaningful contract opportunities.
