Physical Therapist - Outpatient Hand Therapy

Location: Bishop, CA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shifts

Job Description: We are looking for coverage in our orthopedic outpatient hand therapy clinic. Physical Therapists are responsible for the evaluation of patients referred for physical therapy treatment, formulation of a treatment plan and goals, and administration of the physical therapy treatments. They will be active in inpatient and outpatient services, interacting with all hospital departments and medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 patient care with 45-minute appointments every hour.
• Perform appropriate evaluation tests and measurements based on the patient's diagnosis.
• Develop treatment plans, including reassessment and revision every 12 visits or earlier based on patient's progress.
• Implement physical therapy techniques appropriate to the diagnosis.
• Document progress reports for patients in a timely manner to assist with compliance for insurance carriers and utilization review companies for authorization and reimbursement.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited program of Physical Therapy and a licensed Physical Therapist in the State of California.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• Certified Hand Therapist certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year of Physical Therapy experience preferred.
