Facilities Maintenance TechnicianHalf Price Auto Repair & Performance is looking for a dependable, skilled, and self-motivated Facilities Maintenance Technician to help maintain our growing network of automotive repair facilities throughout the Phoenix metro area.This is a hands-on position for someone who knows how to fix things, takes pride in keeping properties clean and presentable, and can work independently without needing constant direction.Our Facilities Maintenance Technician will travel between company locations using a company-provided vehicle and gas card, completing repairs, preventative maintenance, facility improvements, and general upkeep.ResponsibilitiesPerform general building and facility repairs at multiple locationsTile and grout repair and replacementInterior and exterior paintingDrywall patching and minor repairsBasic plumbing repairs, including toilets, faucets, drains, fixtures, and minor leaksPerform basic electrical and lighting repairs within appropriate limitsMaintain doors, locks, hardware, shelving, fixtures, and other facility equipmentPerform preventative maintenance on swamp coolers and HVAC equipmentReplace filters, belts, cooler pads, pumps, thermostats, and other basic HVAC componentsIdentify HVAC or facility problems requiring an outside licensed contractorPressure wash and clean shop areas as neededAssist with maintaining clean, organized, and professional-looking facilitiesComplete minor remodeling and improvement projectsHelp install signage, fixtures, equipment, shelving, and other shop improvementsPurchase and transport necessary maintenance materials and suppliesInspect locations for developing maintenance concerns before they become larger problemsCoordinate with store management to prioritize repair and maintenance needsWork with outside vendors and contractors when necessaryMaintain company tools, equipment, vehicle, and maintenance suppliesRespond to occasional urgent maintenance issues at company locationsWhat We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who is a problem solver.The right person should be comfortable arriving at a location, assessing an issue, determining what is needed, purchasing the appropriate materials, and completing the repair without requiring constant supervision.Ideal candidates will have experience with several of the following:Commercial or residential property maintenanceTile and groutPaintingDrywallBasic plumbingBasic electricalHVAC and evaporative/swamp cooler maintenanceCarpentry and general constructionFacility cleaning and upkeepPreventative maintenanceYou do not need to be a licensed contractor or master technician in every trade.
