About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Observation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years of current/recent Telemetry/Med Surg required License: Active RN license Certifications: Active BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: Current Epic EMR proficiency Description: The Registered Nurse will primarily work in the Observation unit. The RN will also be required to float to other Med-Surg units and possibly the Emergency Department if appropriately skilled. The position requires a commitment of 36 hours per week with evening shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM and every other weekend required. Taking call would be a very rare occurrence. Current Epic EMR proficiency is mandatory; refresher classes or one-on-one sessions are not available. The RN must be competent in reading Telemetry/Basic Cardiac Rhythm Analysis and will be tested on this skill on the first day. Failure to pass the competency assessment will result in immediate termination. The RN will also be terminated if Epic proficiency is found to be lacking. The facility has the right to cancel up to 36 hours during the contract period. Requested time off must be disclosed at the time of application for it to be honored. Holiday coverage is required.
