Job Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Inspector to ensure manufactured parts meet quality standards and customer specifications. This role is ideal for candidates with inspection experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and experience using precision measuring tools. Aerospace manufacturing experience is a major plus.

✅ Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and first-piece inspections

• Verify parts meet customer requirements and quality standards

• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings

• Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment

• Cross-reference inspection programs with engineering documentation

• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation

• Follow safety procedures and maintain an organized work area

Qualifications

• 2 years of inspection experience preferred

• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAI)

• Proficient with calipers and micrometers

• Fabrication or manufacturing experience preferred

• Aerospace experience is a major plus

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmingdale, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
