Instructional Aid Associate Coordinator

Job Title: Instructional Aid Associate Coordinator Department: Arts and Sciences | Chemistry and Biochemistry Administration Responsibilities: Assists the Senior Chemist with the preparation of materials (chemicals, equipment, etc.) for scheduled laboratory experiments; oversees the organic chemistry window operation to meet requests from teaching assistants and students; distributes lab unknowns, instruments, specialized equipment, and lab glassware for use in the laboratories; trains window student workers; supervises student workers during lab room inspection and student’s locker check; reports lab repair issues to the building service office to maintain a safe, highly efficient and functional lab; maintains inventory of the lab instrument and equipment, installs and assembles lab equipment as needed; ensures all instruments and equipment function properly through scheduled calibration and performance checks; coordinates the instrument and equipment repair with outside vendors or other members of the department, as needed; performs chemical analysis; and other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Additional Information The target hiring range for this position is $15.15 - $19.79 per hour. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit’s available budget and the individual’s qualifications.
