• Pay Rate: $78.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Day Shift, 3x12 Hours, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Job Summary

This is a Labor and Delivery travel nursing contract at an acute care hospital beachside facility with 266 total staffed beds. The unit includes 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor/high-risk rooms, and 3 triage rooms. No on-call is required. The traveler will float to postpartum if needed and may perform postpartum couplet care (newborn and maternal) if the census of Perinatal RNs is insufficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide fetal heart monitoring
• Perform high-risk pregnancy monitoring
• Assist with C-sections
• Assist with vaginal deliveries
• Float to postpartum unit if needed; perform postpartum couplet care (newborn and maternal)
• Fulfill newborn role in delivery (ability to perform this is a bonus)

Required Skills

• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Every other weekend availability required
• Charting in Epic
• RTO must be included at time of submission
• Facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period (guaranteed hours policy)
• Block schedule availability per manager discretion
• Pending license not accepted

Education Requirements

• AWHONN Advanced certification required (or NCC EFM accepted in lieu)
• ACLS required - AHA certification required
• BLS required - AHA certification required
• NRP required
• FHM required
• CA RN License required (pending license not accepted)

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted

• Type of facility: Acute Care Hospital, beachside
• Total staffed beds: 266
• No on-call required
• Will float to postpartum unit if census requires
• COVID-19 vaccination: Not required
• Flu vaccination: Unknown
• Scrub color - RNs: Navy Blue; L&D/OR/Cath Lab: scrubs provided
• Charting system: Epic
• Parking: hang-tag and key-card options available at hospital or at St. Anne's (cost per pay period; see recruiter for current rates)
