Tech - MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist

Job Description Job Summary: Under the supervision of the laboratory manager, performs microbiology laboratory tests, quality control procedures, and communicates findings effectively with medical staff and patients. Ensures accurate and timely processing of specimens to support patient diagnosis and care. Responsibilities: Conduct microbiological tests and analyses following established protocols. Maintain and calibrate clinical laboratory instrumentation to ensure optimal performance. Implement quality control procedures and document results accurately. Communicate test results clearly to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers. Adhere to safety and compliance standards including infection control practices. Provide guidance and supervision to Medical Laboratory Assistants and other staff as needed. Qualifications: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related field. Be board eligible by NCA or ASCP, with certification completed within one year of employment. Possess 1-3 years of experience in microbiology or a related laboratory setting. Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by ASCP or CLS by NCA within one year of start date. Demonstrate competence in clinical laboratory instrumentation and techniques.
