The Mechanical Designer will develop innovative mechanical systems that are practical, manufacturable, and ready for real-world deployment. What You’ll Do Design mechanical components and assemblies for robotic systems, from concept through to production. Develop detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, and documentation for manufacturing. Perform tolerance analyses, material selection, and design for manufacturability (DFM). Work with suppliers and fabricators to ensure designs meet performance, quality, and cost requirements. Collaborate closely with electrical, software, and controls engineers to ensure seamless integration of subsystems. Support prototyping, testing, and iterative design improvements. Participate in design reviews and contribute creative solutions to technical challenges. What Success Looks Like Robust, manufacturable designs delivered on schedule. What You Bring A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in mechanical design (robotics, automation, or machinery preferred). Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar). Strong understanding of GD&T, material properties, and manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, plastics, etc.). Experience with prototyping, testing, and hands‑on problem solving. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary environment.
