Production Scheduler

Hunting, Dearborn Division is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Production Scheduler to join our dynamic scheduling team. The scheduler works collaboratively with production supervisors to execute the production plan on a weekly basis, ensuring supervisors have enough work to load their machine resources.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a solid understanding of specific software including but not limited to: Lilly Works and Protected Flow Manufacturing (PFM) Theory of Operation
  • Understanding the terminology and functionality of PFM and D365 and how they interact
  • Provide critical data to support the Dearborn Planning Methodology
  • Perform labor adjustments in D365 and assist in training new employees with the program
  • Dispatch operations by department and machines
  • Complete daily and weekly tasks list that support the accuracy of the schedule
  • Lead weekly through put meeting
  • Understand how the ship list is created and how to incorporate any expedites needed into the department dispatches
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 2- 5 years of manufacturing experience preferred
  • Training in throughput or theory of constraints is preferred
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and the flow of production
  • Keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and collaboratively
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams comprised of members within and outside of the organization

Work Environment/Conditions
  • Monday to Friday, day schedule, 8 or more hours per day.
  • Pristine, climate-controlled facility, equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and equipment.
