Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit \n Discipline: RN \n Start Date: 10/05/2026 \n Duration: 15 weeks \n 36 hours per week \n Shift: 12 hours, nights \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n Requirements \n Minimum 2 years of ICU experience(4–5 years of ICU experience preferred; 2 years minimum required.) \n Experience in one or more of the following: \n ICU \n SICU \n CTICU \n Trauma ICU \n Medical-Surgical ICU \n Neuro ICU \n Previous travel nursing experience required \n CRRT and Prismaflex experience required \n Strong cardiac/heart experience highly preferred \n Epic EMR experience required \n Active New York RN license \n All active RN licenses must be verified through Nursys \n Current AHA certifications required: \n BLS \n ACLS \n NIHSS \n Specialty skills checklist required \n Valid driver's license with address matching submitted demographics \n RTO must be included at time of submission \n Willingness to float as needed \n Unit Overview \n 42-bed ICU \n Neuro/Medical ICU \n Cardiothoracic ICU \n Surgical/Trauma ICU \n Adult high-acuity patient population \n Block scheduling is not guaranteed \n Floating required as needed to applicable ICU units \n Common Patient Diagnoses \n Neuro/Medical ICU: \n Stroke \n Sepsis \n Altered mental status \n Neuro interventions \n Respiratory failure \n CHF \n Post-STEMI \n Cardiothoracic ICU: \n Cardiovascular surgery \n Cardiogenic shock \n AAA surgery \n Surgical/Trauma ICU: \n Trauma \n Major post-operative surgical patients \n Required Clinical Skills & Equipment \n Candidates must be comfortable with high-acuity ICU equipment and therapies, including: \n CRRT – Prismaflex or NxStage \n IABP \n Mechanical ventilation \n Ventriculostomy \n ICP monitoring \n TTM / Arctic Sun \n Advanced hemodynamic monitoring \n Additional Details \n Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM \n Floating: Required as needed \n Scrub Color: Navy \n Floating may include applicable ICU units; Behavioral Health and the Emergency Department are excluded except when holding patients. \n Heart/cardiac experience is highly preferred and will be prioritized. \n MetaSense, Inc.
