CNC Bender/Set-Up Operator

Position Overview Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill a CNC Bender/Set-Up Operator at a manufacturing company in Livonia, MI. The operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and training new DLs on CNC Benders and other rotary draw bend machinery. This is a direct-hire position. Duties Set up CNC and rotary draw bend machinery Operate CNC and rotary draw bend machinery Provide guidance and instructions to DLs for safe and productive operation of machinery Ensure parts are built to customer specifications Report promptly all problems or abnormal conditions to the Shift Supervisor Maintain housekeeping and health and safety standards Adhere to all corporate and plant-level rules and regulations Support teamwork and contribute to continuous improvements Understand the importance of quality and assist in the achievement and maintenance of IATF16949 certification Assist in the achievement and maintenance of ISO14001 certification Support the BTO (Build-to-Order) program Understand and read blueprints Use micrometers and calipers Compensation $26.00 per hour Schedule Monday - Friday: 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Saturday: 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Sunday: Occasional voluntary Requirements High School Diploma or GED (5 years of service will be given consideration) Knowledgeable in Computer Programming Must be able to set up the Bender, not just bend Demonstrate leadership and set examples for other employees Have a thorough working knowledge of the respective cell and be capable of training other employees Verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate cooperative and committed attitude toward all employees, management, and corporate objectives Ability to stand for long periods on the manufacturing floor Decisions are limited to shutting down the process and contacting the Shift Supervisor or Team Leader when the potential exists of producing bad parts Job ID: MJ49595234 #J-18808-Ljbffr Metro Industrial
