Physical Education Teacher

Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates the need for a Physical Education Teacher for the 2026- 2027 school year. Candidate is needed to provide instruction to school aged special education students. Must have the ability to function as a positive and contributing member of our BOCES team. Must be able to provide Adapted Physical Education lessons and activities to students with disabilities. QUALIFICATIONS: Appropriate New York State Education Department certification in Physical Education. Familiarity with Adaptive Physical Education (APE) is preferred. CHARACTERISTICS DESIRED: Extensive knowledge of instructional approaches for students with autism, emotional/behavioral disorders and/or multiple disabilities. Must be driven, organized and have the ability to positively manage students.
