RN PICU

RN position in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Facility has 300 licensed beds and is designated for trauma care. Unit features 19-23 beds with an average daily census of 15-18 patients. Patient ratio for RN is 2:1. Unit culture emphasizes teamwork and friendliness. Support staff includes Certified Nursing Assistants to assist with patient room preparation, cleaning, and patient care. Availability of charge nurse, phlebotomy, IV team, resource nurse, and telemetry technician. Respiratory therapy, hospitalist, and intensivist available 24/7. Common patient diagnoses include respiratory issues, congenital heart disease, hematology/oncology, post-operative care, and trauma. Technology utilized includes EMR, Alaris IV, Pyxis Med Dispense, and Med Sonic monitors. Candidates must possess required licenses and certifications.
