Well Service & Drill Rig Helper – Temp-to-Perm

Premier Staffing Unlimited is currently hiring Well Service & Drill Rig Helpers for a growing company in the Middle Georgia area.

Pay: $15.00–$17.00 per hour, based on experience
Position Type: Temp-to-Perm
Openings: Multiple positions available

This is a hands-on, physically demanding position working alongside experienced well service technicians and drill rig operators. We are looking for dependable individuals who are comfortable working outdoors, performing general labor, and working around drilling equipment, tools, piping, and active job sites.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, isn't afraid to get dirty, and wants the opportunity to learn a skilled trade.

Job Responsibilities

Depending on assignment and daily jobsite needs, responsibilities may include:

• Assist experienced well service technicians with service and repair work
• Help prepare trucks, equipment, tools, and materials for daily service calls
• Retrieve, organize, load, and unload tools and equipment
• Assist with pulling and installing well pumps
• Assist with tank installation and general repairs
• Assist with drill rig setup and tear-down
• Shovel and remove drill cuttings and debris from the work area
• Handle and move drilling tools, pipe, casing, and related materials
• Assist experienced drillers with installation of well casing
• Work safely around drilling rigs, moving equipment, and suspended materials
• Maintain clean and organized trucks, equipment, and job sites
• Perform general labor and other duties as directed by the crew leader

Employees will work under the supervision of experienced company personnel and will not independently operate drilling or heavy equipment.

Work Environment

This position requires working outdoors at various service and drilling locations. Employees should be prepared to work in changing weather conditions and around active drilling and well-service operations.

Transportation from the company's designated location to remote job sites will be provided by the client company.

Physical Requirements

Applicants must be able to:

• Perform physically demanding general labor throughout the workday
• Regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and reach
• Safely lift, carry, and handle tools, equipment, pipe, casing, and other materials
• Work outdoors in varying weather and temperature conditions
• Work around loud equipment, machinery, mud, water, dirt, and uneven terrain
• Follow all jobsite safety procedures and crew-leader instructions

PPE & Safety

Required PPE includes:

• Hard hat
• Safety glasses/eye protection
• Gloves
• High-visibility vest when required
• Steel-toe work boots

The company will provide required PPE  with the exception of steel-toe work boots , which employees must provide.

Employees participate in daily safety/tailgate meetings led by the crew leader. Some customer locations may also require additional site-specific safety training before work begins.

Qualifications

• Previous construction, drilling, well service, plumbing, mechanical, landscaping, utility, or general labor experience is helpful but not required
• Must be comfortable performing strenuous outdoor work
• Must be dependable and able to report to work consistently and on time
• Must be willing to learn and follow instructions from experienced crew members
• Must be safety-conscious and able to follow established jobsite procedures
• Must have steel-toe work boots
• Must be comfortable working around drilling rigs, tools, pipe, casing, and active equipment
