In this fast-paced role, you'll create an exceptional first impression by welcoming patients, guiding them through the registration process, answering questions, and helping ensure every visit runs smoothly. You'll also provide operator support as needed, making you an essential part of our patient experience.If you enjoy meeting new people and thrive in a dynamic environment, this is the perfect opportunity! This position travels between our five Middle Tennessee locations throughout the week, including Midtown and Centennial and sometimes Green Hills, Brentwood, and Franklin, giving you the chance to work with a variety of patients and teams.MINIMUM ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTSMaintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and other guidelines established by the practicePolitely greet patients as they arrive for scheduled appointmentsEnter and verify demographic and insurance information for new and established patients according to protocol; scan a copy of each patient's ID and insurance card into the EMREnsure patients and providers receive and complete the appropriate forms and/or records for the appointmentDiscuss and collect co-pays, deposits and balances on patient accountsComplete daily facilities checklist as assignedDirect incoming phone calls to the appropriate extension when providing operator coverageAssist Medical Records department by scanning and queuing documents and by acting as the primary scanner of patient documents when working at satellite officesAssist Medical Records department by sending CCs to referring and primary care physicians as needed to maintain continuity of carePerform other administrative duties as requested by the SupervisorKNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTSMinimum of high school diploma or equivalentCollege education or trade school preferredAbility to perform multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously with minimal error rateExperience working in potentially stressful situationsHigh-level customer service and communication skillsExcellent teamwork skillsPreference for activities involving face-to-face interactionWe are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class. #J-18808-Ljbffr
