The Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Associate Professor or Professor for the role of Division Head in the Division of Child Abuse Pediatrics. The Division Head in the Division of Child Abuse Pediatrics is responsible for all patient care, research, education, advocacy, and administrative aspects of the division's work. As the leader of the division, the Division Head serves a critical role in defining and executing the division's strategic imperatives in the clinical, research, education, and advocacy domains that work toward identification and prevention of child abuse. The individual in this role will guide the division's clinical needs and the potential for continued or expanded partnerships. This individual will serve as the leader for all research activities and will be responsible for growing the division's research profile. Individuals with accomplishments in child abuse pediatrics or maltreatment research, care delivery science, or other aligned areas of medical social science research are encouraged to apply. Candidates should have an interest in faculty and fellow mentorship, as a key responsibility is to support division members' career growth and development. The Division Head will support a culture of educational excellence and ensure faculty participation in the division's child abuse fellowship program as well as the institutions' medical education training programs. This individual will act as the representative in interactions with department leadership, hospital administration, external groups, and donors. The individual in this role is responsible for oversight of divisional operational, philanthropic, and grant funding in partnership with the Division Administrator. Mid-career faculty who may need additional leadership support are also encouraged to apply. Qualified candidates will possess outstanding clinical and teaching skills. Candidates for the position will be board-certified in child abuse pediatrics. Salary is commensurate with rank and experience. The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled. The expected base pay range for this position is $298,230 to $353,622.
