Shift Electrician (Delta)

What You'll Be Doing Systems Maintenance: Perform comprehensive electrical maintenance and advanced troubleshooting on complex plant equipment. Inspection & Repair: Inspect, test, and repair electrical systems and infrastructure to ensure maximum safety and operational efficiency. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime and restore operations. Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the maintenance team to support and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Technical Documentation: Maintain precise records of work performed, system modifications, and parts inventory. What Are We Looking For Certification: Must possess a valid Red Seal Industrial Electrician certificate. Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of industrial electrical systems, controls, and medium‑voltage safety standards. Diagnostic Skills: Expert ability to diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently. Schematic Proficiency: Highly skilled in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation. Safety Excellence: Unwavering commitment to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and arc flash safety. Teamwork: Strong communication skills with the ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary maintenance team. Industry Experience: Previous experience in the Cement Industry or heavy industrial manufacturing is preferred. Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to a post‑offer pre‑employment physical examination and background check. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Work environments may include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels. What We Offer Starting at $58.20 per hour, increasing to $59.36 per hour (as per collective agreement). Additional shift premiums available based on scheduling.
